Sips for Hips is a fundraiser for the International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI). “The exact cause(s) of hip dysplasia are not known. However it is widely believed that hip dysplasia is developmental. This is because hip dysplasia is known to develop around the time of birth, after birth, or even during childhood. This is also why hip dysplasia is often referred to as developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH).”
The community of parents with children who suffer from HD are close-knit. They come together to pass along homemade highchairs, swings, and other accommodations that their children have outgrown. This warm and loving community came together along with glassybaby to raise funds and awareness for those who suffer from HD.
